Deep Thinking by Garry Kasparov

The book, Deep Thinking: Where Machine Intelligence Ends and Human Creativity Begins, documents–for the first time ever–legendary chess player Garry Kasparov’s defeat by the supercomputer, Deep Blue. Kasparov analyses his 1997 defeat and goes into detail about playing against an opponent who not only never becomes tired, but also cannot be ruffled. But beyond that, he argues for how humans can work along with technology and AI, rather than fear its consequences. From Good Reads: “As many critics decry artificial intelligence as a menace, particularly to human jobs, Kasparov shows how humanity can rise to new heights with the help of our most extraordinary creations, rather than fear them.”
